Trail of Destruction Left in California's Paradise after Massive Wildfire (+Video)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – As the death toll from California's deadly wildfires rose to 59 late on Wednesday with hundreds of people still missing and thousands displaced, aerial footages show flames continuing to spread across the mountain wilderness in the US state.
One footage shows that the wildfires almost completely destroyed the town of Paradise.
The director Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Brock Long said the town would need a "total rebuild" job lasting several years.
A fire department officer said as many as 15,000 townsfolk were evacuated with many seeking shelter in nearby Oroville, where six shelters are currently being operated.
At least 59 people have died statewide thus far with more than 100 people still missing, making it California's deadliest fire on record.
