Iranian Freestyler Shabani Wins Bronze at U-23 World C’ships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian freestyle wrestler Ali Shabani claimed a bronze medal at the 2018 U-23 World Championships.
Shabani won the bronze after defeating Yang Chaoqiang from China 11-0 in the 97 kg.
The gold medal went to Georgian Givi Matcharashvili who defeated Kollin Moore from the USA 10-0.
The Iranian team has a chance of winning one gold and four bronze medals in the other five weights at the 2018 U-23 World Championships on Sunday.
The 2018 World U-23 Wrestling Championship is the second edition of World U-23 Wrestling Championships of combined events, underway from November 12 to 18 in Bucharest, Romania.
