Iraq, Iran to Finalize ‘Strategic Dossiers’ during Rouhani’s Visit: PM
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iraq’s Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi said Baghdad would seek to finalize the “strategic dossiers” with Tehran during an upcoming visit by the Iranian president to the Arab country.
During a press conference on Tuesday in Baghdad, Adel Abdul-Mahdi confirmed a forthcoming visit by President Hassan Rouhani to Iraq, according to Al-Masalah news website.
“We want to determine the fate of our strategic dossiers with the Iranian president who will soon head to Iraq,” the prime minister said.
Recently, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said Rouhani will visit the Arab country on March 11.
The Iranian top diplomat added that Rouhani’s trip is aimed at boosting bilateral relation between Tehran and Baghdad.
