Iran's Coronavirus Death Toll Exceeds 21,000: Health Ministry
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian Health Ministry spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari said on Friday that the total number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached 369,911, with the death toll exceeding 21,200.
“With 112 new deaths in the past 24 hours, the death toll from the virus has reached 21,249. Unfortunately, we had 2,115 new cases since yesterday,” Lari said during her daily press briefing.
She also put the number of those who have so far recovered from the viral infection at 318,270.
The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has surpassed 24.6 million and the death toll has exceeded 836,000.
