Iranian General Hopes for Muslim Unity against Enemies in Congratulatory Message

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s highest-ranking commander congratulated his Muslim counterparts on the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), expressing hope that Islamic nations and their armed forces would close ranks against the enemies of Muslim community.

In separate messages to the military commanders of Muslim nations on Monday, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri offered his congratulations on the auspicious birth anniversary of the revered Prophet of Islam (PBUH).

The general expressed hope for stronger unity, rapport and fraternity among Muslim nations in the light of the teachings of the Great Prophet and the holy Quran.

Major General Baqeri also hoped for the promotion of cooperation among the armed forces of Muslim states in confrontation with the enemies of the Islamic community and in ensuring sustainable peace and security in the Islamic world.

He also expressed hope for the immediate eradication of the coronavirus pandemic in the world.  

The 17th day of the month of Rabi al-Awwal in the lunar Hijri calendar marks the birth anniversaries of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS), the sixth Shiite Imam. This year it falls on Tuesday, November 3.
