Mehdi Ghayedi Tests Positive for COVID-19
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran and Esteghlal football team forward Mehdi Ghayedi has tested positive for coronavirus.
Ghayedi has missed the friendly match against Syria, scheduled for March 30.
Iran coach Dragan Skocic has invited Sajad Shahbazzadeh as Ghayedi’s replacement.
The daily death toll from the coronavirus pandemic in Iran reached 74 on Tuesday, with more than 7200 COVID-19 patients have been infected with disease during the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry reported.
The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has surpassed 124,290,090 and the death toll has exceeded 2.7 million.
