Zarif Calls for Trump Admin’s Anti-JCPOA Sanctions to Be Removed First
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Friday that all sanctions imposed on Iran by former US administration targeted the 2015 nuclear agreement should be lifted regardless of their designations.
In a post on Twitter on Friday, Zarif pointed to the all US sanction against Iran, saying Washington should return to full compliance first.
“Iran proposes logical path to full JCPOA compliance: -US—which caused this crisis—should return to full compliance first; -Iran will reciprocate following rapid verification; -All Trump sanctions were anti-JCPOA & must be removed—w/o distinction between arbitrary designations,” the top Iranian diplomat wrote in his message.
