Multiple People Injured in Wisconsin Shooting (+Video)

There were multiple victims, according to local media reports, but it remains unclear how many were shot.

Dozens of officers from multiple law enforcement agencies are working at the scene, which remains active, even though State Attorney General Josh Kaul confirmed that the situation is “contained” and there is “no longer a threat to the community.”

A spokesperson for a Wisconsin casino says an undetermined number of people have been shot at the casino.

The Oneida Casino in Green Bay tweeted Saturday there was an active shooter at the casino. Bobbi Webster, a spokesperson, said Saturday evening that she didn’t have information on how many were shot or their conditions. She said she also did not have confirmation that anyone had been arrested.

The gunman was reportedly apprehended or neutralized, but the circumstances of the shooting remain unclear, and officials have yet to reveal the number of the victims and their conditions. Some local reports alleged up to seven people were shot, but authorities advised media to rely on official announcements.

The shooting took place at a casino adjacent to Radisson Hotel and Conference Center, just across the Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport around 7:30pm. Police rerouted some traffic near the airport as they secured the scene.

While the investigation is ongoing, all other Oneida Casino locations will be closed as a precaution until further notice, Oneida Nation of Wisconsin tweeted.
