Hezbollah Fighters Renew Pledge of Allegiance to Nasrallah

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Fighters of the Hezbollah resistance movement in Lebanon renewed their pledge of allegiance to the movement’s Secretary-General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah.

In a video published by Lebanese satellite television al-Manar, the Mediterranean country’s resistance fighters assert that they remain at their leader’s command.

The message addresses the Hezbollah chief as “the leader of hearts”, as a mark of their love and loyalty to him, saying whenever he gave an order, they swiftly responded to it.

“Whenever you ordered, we fired a number of rockets,” the video message says. “Due to your supervision and prayers of the honorable people (of Lebanon), success was bestowed (on us) by God.”

“After we swung into action, where the enemy could not even have imagined, the enemy and his paper dome were lost in bewilderment,” the resistance fighters note, referring to the Israeli regime’s so-called Iron Dome and its failure to intercept rockets fired recently from southern Lebanon.

On Friday, Hezbollah announced in a statement that its units had hit “open fields” near Israeli positions using “dozens” of 122mm-caliber rockets. Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television network said at least 20 rockets were fired at the regime's military positions.

It came in response to the Israeli military’s airstrikes on southern Lebanon. The regime forces again resorted to artillery fire after the Hezbollah retaliated to the initial attack.

The fighters, while reaffirming their commitment to the cause of resistance, emphasized that people in the villages of al-Arqoub and Hasbiya in southern Lebanon “have been and continue to be partners in resistance”.

“As you wanted (from us), we are the embodiment of patience and insight,” the fighters declare. “The barrel of our rifles is always on the chest of the Israeli enemy.  We have exercised highest degrees of restraint (so far).”

They further expressed readiness to “blow up the volcano of anger against the enemies of the homeland and the nation” at their leader’s command.

In a televised speech on Saturday, days after the latest Israeli aggression on southern Lebanon, Nasrallah said the Lebanese resistance movement does not seek war, but is not afraid of one either as it remains confident about the odds of victory.

The speech came on the anniversary of the movement’s historic triumph against the Israeli regime during the imposed war on Lebanon in 2006.

The Hezbollah leader underlined the resistance group’s readiness as well as its well-equipped arsenal to confront the enemies.

“We are not after war. It was not us who staged aggression (in the first place). However, we are ready and are not afraid of war,” he asserted. “We are prepared every moment, and are certain that we will triumph in (any) warfare,” he added.

The Hezbollah chief described last week’s retaliation as “only a fraction” of what the group is capable of, saying it has many choices in the event of a conflict.

“Therefore, if the Zionist regime perpetrates any act of folly, it will face a heavy response,” he stated.
