Powerlifter Rostami Claims Iran’s First Gold at Paralympics
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Rouhollah Rostami won Iran’s first gold medal at the 2020 Paralympic Games on Saturday.
He earned the gold medal in the -80kg category. Rostami lifted 234kg.
Chinese powerlifter Xiaofei Gu won the silver medal by lifting 215kg.
Egyptian Mohamed Elelfat claimed the bronze medal with 212kg.
Amir Jafari from Iran had won a silver medal in the men’s -65kg on Friday.
