Iran Starts Qatar Handball Tournament on High Note
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national handball team defeated Saudi Arabia 24-16 in opening match of the Qatar handball tournament on Tuesday.
Team Melli, headed by Spanish coach Montoya Montoya Fernandez, will meet Kuwait and Qatar on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.
The four-team tournament started on November 2 and runs until November 6.
Iran prepares for the 2022 Asian Men's Handball Championship, which is scheduled to be held from January 18 to 31, 2022 in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
