Iran Lauds Kuwait’s Wise Stances
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The president of Iran praised Kuwait for adopting sagacious stances on the regional plots, calling for the promotion of cooperation with the Arab state in various fields.
In a telephone conversation with Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Tuesday evening, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi hailed Kuwait for adopting wise stances on the regional conspiracies.
Highlighting the close relations that Iran and Kuwait have maintained in the past years, the president said the ties between the two old friends must reach the real capacity.
Congratulating the Kuwaiti emir and people on Eid al-Fitr, the Iranian president said the rapport among the Muslims on such occasions would strengthen solidarity among the Islamic nations.
He also hoped to hold a meeting with the Kuwaiti emir, saying more frequent meetings between the officials of the two countries would help broaden their mutual cooperation.
For his part, Sheikh Al-Sabah said Kuwait is deeply delighted at the Islamic Republic’s new approach and the importance that the Iranian president attaches to the expansion of relations with the neighboring and friendly countries.
He also noted that meetings between the Kuwaiti and Iranian authorities will result in the promotion of ties and strengthening of joint efforts for the fulfillment of their mutual interests.
