Iranian Women Karate Practitioners Collect Four Medals: ISG 2021
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Four Iranian women karate practitioners claimed medals in the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games.
Fatemeh Sadeghi won a silver medal in the kata after losing to Turkey’s Dilara Bozan.
Mobina Heydari was also defeated against the Republic of Azerbaijan’s Irina Zaretska in the kumite −68 kg.
Sara Bahmanyar and Leila Borjali in the kumite −50 kg and kumite +68 kg won two bronze medals, respectively.
The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games were held in Konya, Turkey, from August 9 to 18, 2022.
