Khatoon Held by Sogdiana-W in AFC Women’s Club Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Bam Khatoon football club came back from a goal down to force a 1-1 draw with Uzbekistan’s Sogdiana-W in the AFC Women’s Club Championship 2022 West on Saturday.

Khabibullaeva Diyorakhon opened the scoring for Uzbekistan's Sogdiana-W, but Zahra Ghanbari’s header in the second half ensured Iran's Bam Khatoon will go into the reverse fixture on Tuesday on level terms.

Both teams, who are making their debut in the pilot tournament, will face off again on Tuesday to decide the title.

Bam Khatoon is the powerhouse of Iranian women football, having won eight Women’s Football League titles.

Jordan’s Orthodox withdrew from the competition.
