Mehdi Taj Returns to Iran Football Presidency
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Former Iran football federation president Mehdi Taj was re-elected as head of the federation for a four-year term.
In the elections, held in Tehran on Tuesday, Taj was elected as head of the football federation, winning 51 votes.
Iran football federation caretaker Mirshad Majedi came second with 25 votes and Aziz Mohammadi collected four votes.
Taj was head of the Iran football federation from 2016 to 2019.
