IPL: Persepolis, Esteghlal Held, Gol Gohar Moves Top
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis and Esteghlal football teams were held against their opponents in Matchweek 8 of the Iran Professional League.
Gol Gohar defeated Naft Masjed Soleyman 5-0 in Sirjan.
Amir Shahim, Ali Asghar Ashouri, Mohammad Khodabandehlou (two goals) and Kiros Stanlley scored for Gol Gohar.
Persepolis drew 0-0 with Sepahan in Isfahan and Esteghlal was held to a 1-1 draw against Foolad in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Gol Gohar moved top with 15 points, followed by Persepolis and Esteghlal.
