Iran’s NOC President Khosravi Vafa Meets Thomas Bach
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Head of Iran’s National Olympic Committee (NOC) Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa met President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach in Seoul, South Korea on Wednesday.
Khosravi Vafa is in Seoul to attend the 26th General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), which runs until Friday.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government is to ramp up its drive for hosting international sports events in the future, including the 2036 Summer Olympics.
The new head of Iran’s NOC said Iran has always been faithful to IOC principles.
“We are committed to Olympic rules like before,” Khosravi Vafa said.
Bach also emphasized the importance of supporting Iran’s NOC in accordance with the IOC principles.
