One Injured As Israeli Settlers Attack Palestinian Homes, Cars near Nablus
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A man was injured on Sunday evening after illegal Israeli settlers attacked numerous Palestinian homes and vehicles while invading Huwwara town, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
A number of Israeli paramilitary settlers invaded the town of Huwwara, and reportedly began throwing rocks at houses and cars, according to Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian official who keeps track of Israel's illegal activities in the northern West Bank, the International Middle East Media Center reported.
Daghlas added that the settlers damaged numerous cars and hurt one Palestinian by throwing a rock at him.
He added that the injured Palestinian experienced the side effects of tear gas inhalation when Israeli soldiers stormed the town and fired gas bombs and concussion grenades against the Palestinians who repelled the settlers’ assault.
It came after an Israeli soldier shot four live rounds at a young Palestinian man in Huwwara on Friday before dropping him to the ground.
When the soldier got close to Ammar Hamdi Mifleh, a 22-year-old Palestinian, he fired another round at him and killed the boy even though he didn't pose a threat.
Since the start of 2022, Israeli troops have killed more than 200 Palestinians, including more than 50 children, in the occupied West Bank and East al-Quds as well as the besieged Gaza Strip.
According to the United Nations, the number of Palestinians killed by Israel in the occupied West Bank this year is the highest in 16 years.
Local and international rights groups have condemned Israel’s excessive use of force and “shoot-to-kill policy” against Palestinians.
