Syrians in Occupied Golan Stage Strike against Israeli Practices

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Syrian citizens in the occupied Syrian Golan participated in a strike on Wednesday, denouncing the arbitrary and criminal actions of the Israeli occupation against them and their land.

According to a report by SANA, hundreds of Syrian citizens in the occupied Golan gathered at the shrine of Abu Dharr al-Ghifari in the al-Marj area. They were preparing to head towards the al-Hafayer area, east of Masada village, to protest against the occupation's plan to establish wind turbines on their agricultural lands.

The report mentioned that the occupation forces brought in reinforcements and closed all roads leading to the al-Hafayer area, where the wind turbines are planned to be built.

Syria has condemned the Israeli occupation forces' brutal attacks on the citizens in the occupied Syrian Arab Golan, viewing them as a continuation of Israel's aggressive policies that flagrantly violate international laws and resolutions.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Ministry expressed its appreciation for the resilient people of the occupied Syrian Golan and commended their honorable stance and continuous struggle against the Israeli occupation.

The ministry reiterated that the Israeli occupation's assaults on the people in the occupied Syrian Arab Golan are part of Israel's ongoing aggressive policies and crimes.

It further emphasized that the Syrian Arab Republic reaffirms that the Israeli occupation of the Syrian Arab Golan will end, and all occupation projects and illegal settlement schemes are null and void, constituting a clear violation of Security Council Resolution No. 497 of 1981. This resolution deems Israel's decision to impose its laws, jurisdiction, and administration on the occupied Golan as null and lacking any international legal effect.

"The Syrian Arab Golan has always been and will remain an integral part of the Syrian Arab Republic's territory. Its return to the homeland is inevitable, and Syria and its resilient people will spare no effort to reclaim it, utilizing all available means guaranteed by international law. It is an eternal and inalienable right," concluded the ministry.
