Beit Sayah Wins Silver at 2023 Para Athletics World Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sadegh Beit Sayah of Iran claimed a silver medal at the 2023 Para Athletics World Championships on Monday.
He won the silver medal in the Men's Javelin Throw F41 with a throw of 45.46 meters.
Pengxiang Sun from China won the gold medal with 47.55 meters.
Iraqi Wildan Nukhailawi seized the bronze medal with 42.09 meters.
Iranian shot putters Mehdi Olad, Rashid Masjedi and Yasin Khosravi as well as Javelin thrower Saeid Afrooza won four gold medals in the competitions held in Paris, France from July 9 to 17.
Long jumper Amir Khosravani, javelin thrower Ali Prouj, Olad (discus throw) and Elham Salehi had also claimed four silver medals and javelin thrower Hashemieh Motaghian and shot putter Hadi Kaeidi seized two bronzes.
