France Defeats Iran at 2023 FIBA World Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – France basketball team defeated Iran 82-55 in Group P of the FIBA World Cup 2023 on Thursday.
Nando de Colo and Guerschon Yabusele scored 12 and 11 points, respectively for France.
Meisam Mirzaei and Behnam Yakhchali earned 11 points each for Iran.
Iran had previously lost to Brazil, Ivory Coast and Spain in the Preliminary Round.
Team Melli will play Lebanon on Saturday.
The World Cup is being held in the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia from August 25 to September 10.
