2023 FIBA U-16 Asian Championship: Japan Beats Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Japan came from behind to beat Iran 65-62 in exciting fashion in the 2023 FIBA U-16 Asian Championship on Sunday.
Japan’s Shogo Takata finished the game with 21 points. For Iran, Iman Valizadeh scored 17 points to lead the team.
Iran is to face Saudi Arabia and Qatar on Monday and Tuesday, respectively in Doha, Qatar.
The teams that advance to the Semi-Finals will also qualify for the FIBA U-17 Basketball World Cup 2024 to be held in Turkey from June 29 to July 7 next year.
