2023 World Wrestling Championships: Taylor Defeats Hassan Yazdani
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – American wrestler David Taylor defeated Hassan Yazdani of Iran 9-3 in the final bout of the 2023 World Wrestling Championships 86kg weight class in Belgrade, Serbia on Sunday.
Yazdani has lost to Taylor four times and defeated him once.
The bronze medals were won by Myles Amine from San Marino and Kazakhstan’s Azamat Dauletbekov.
Earlier in the day, Amir Mohammad Yazdani had won a silver medal after losing to American wrestler Zain Retherford 8-5 in the final bout of 70kg.
