2022 Asian Games: Iranian Woman Salahshouri Wins Bronze in Poomsae
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Marjan Salahshouri of Iran won a bronze medal in the Women's Individual Poomsae at the 19th Asian Games on Sunday.
She defeated Bangladesh’s Miss Ruma Khatun and Malaysian Nurul Hidayah Binti Abdulkarim but lost to Japanese Yuiko Niwa.
In the final at Lin'an Sports Culture & Exhibition Center, Korea's Cha Yea-eun beat Niwa from Japan to stand on the top of the podium.
A record high of nearly 12,500 athletes from 45 countries and territories compete across 40 sports in the 2022 Asian Games.
Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.
