Iran Handball Defeated by Japan in 2022 Asian Games

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s men’s handball team lost to Japan 33-21 in the 2022 Asian Games on Monday.

Team Melli, who had defeated Mongolia 50-16 in its opening match, will play Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.

A total of 13 men’s teams, divided into four groups, have participated in the handball competition.

A record high of nearly 12,500 athletes from 45 countries and territories compete across 40 sports in the 2022 Asian Games.

Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.
