Iranian Fencer Rahbari Wins Bronze at 2022 Asian Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mohammad Rahbari of Iran won a bronze medal in the 2022 Asian Games on Monday.
He lost to his South Korean rival Oh Sang-uk 15-11 at Hangzhou Dianzi University Gymnasium in Hangzhou, China in the semifinals of men’s sabre individual.
Oh also defeated his compatriot Gu Bon-gil in an all-Korean final to win a gold.
A record high of nearly 12,500 athletes from 45 countries and territories compete across 40 sports in the 2022 Asian Games.
Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.
