Iranian Shot Putters Alipour, Olad Win Gold, Silver at Hangzhou Para Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Amir Hossein Alipour and Mehdi Olad won a gold and a silver respectively in the 2022 Asian Para Games on Monday.
Alipour took a gold at the Men's Shot Put-F11 with a throw of 13.92 meters, followed by his countryman Olad with 13.30 meters.
Indian Monu Ghangas seized the bronze with 12.33 meters.
As the Asian Para Games returns to China for the second time following Guangzhou in 2010, nearly 3,100 athletes from 44 countries and regions are taking part across 22 sports and 564 events at the Hangzhou Asian Para Games, which runs through Oct 28.
