Iranian Wheelchair Basketball Teams Victorious: 2022 Asian Para Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s women’s and men’s basketball teams emerged victorious over their rivals at the 2022 Asian Para Games on Saturday.
The men’s team defeated China 72-42 in Group A at the HOC Gymnasium.
Iran, who had defeated Afghanistan 91-33 in its first match, is scheduled to meet the Philippines on Tuesday.
The women’s team, who had suffered two losses against Japan and Thailand, beat Laos 72-29.
Team Melli Banovan will play Cambodia on Tuesday.
Wheelchair basketball is one of the events at the 2022 Asian Para Games which takes place in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, from Oct. 19 to 27.
Hangzhou 2022 takes place from October 22 to 28, with an estimated 3,000 athletes competing across 22 sports.
