Vahid Amiri to Miss 2023 AFC Asian Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national football team midfielder Vahid Amiri will miss the 2023 AFC Asian Cup due to a foot injury.
The 35-year-old player of Persepolis suffered a hamstring tear in the match against Al Nassr in the AFC 2023 Champions League.
Amiri will not be fit for the Asian Cup and he also miss Persepolis’ matches for at least six weeks.
Team Melli has been drawn in Group C along with Palestine, Hong Kong and the UAE and Amiri’s absence will be a huge blow for the national team.
