Iran to Compete at 2024 Women's Indoor Hockey Asia Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s women’s team left Tehran for Chonburi, Thailand on Friday to take part in the 2024 Women's Indoor Hockey Asia Cup.
Team Melli Banovan has been pitted in Pool A along with Kazakhstan, Nepal, Oman and Malaysia.
Pool B consists of Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, Vietnam and Indonesia.
Iran will start the campaign on May 13 with a match against Nepal.
The 2024 Women's Indoor Hockey Asia Cup is the ninth edition of the Women's Indoor Hockey Asia Cup, the biennial international women's indoor hockey championship of Asia organized by the Asian Hockey Federation.
It will be held at the Thailand National Sport University in Chonburi, Thailand from May 13 to 16. The winner will qualify for the 2025 Women's FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup.
