Iran to Play Cambodia for 2024 Women's Indoor Hockey Asia Cup Fifth Place
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s women’s team was defeated against Kazakhstan 5-1 in the 2024 Women's Indoor Hockey Asia Cup on Wednesday.
Iran defeated Oman 8-0 and Vietnam 18-0 in its first two matches but lost to Malaysia 4-2 and Kazakhstan 5-1 in its following matches and failed to advance to final four.
Team Melli Banovan will play Cambodia on Thursday for the fifth place.
The 2024 Women's Indoor Hockey Asia Cup is the ninth edition of the Women's Indoor Hockey Asia Cup, the biennial international women's indoor hockey championship of Asia organized by the Asian Hockey Federation.
The completion is being held at the Thailand National Sport University in Chonburi, Thailand from May 13 to 16.
The winner will qualify for the 2025 Women's FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup.
