Iran-Saudi Ties on Right Track: Caretaker FM
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian caretaker foreign minister said the relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia are on the right track.
Asked about the relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, Ali Baqeri said at a press conference in Beirut on Monday that the relations between the two countries are on the upward trajectory.
Since Iran and Saudi Arabia resumed their diplomatic relations, they have taken effective strides to broaden cooperation in all fields, he said, adding that officials of the two countries are determined to enhance interaction for the sake of regional stability.
Baqeri also pointed to cooperation between Iran and Saudi Arabia on Palestine, saying constructive steps should be taken to stop the Israeli regime’s heinous crimes against the oppressed Palestinian people in the occupied territories.
Today, the fake Zionist regime lacks legitimacy in the world, Baqeri added, noting that Israel’s attempts at the normalization of ties with the other nations have ended in failure.
The caretaker Iranian foreign minister left Beirut for Damascus on Tuesday.
