Mobin Nasri Joins Poland’s Zawiercie Volleyball Club

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran international outside hitter Mobin Nasri has joined Warta Zawiercie, a professional men's volleyball club founded in 1972 in southern Poland.

Nasri was named the best receiver of the 2023 World Junior Championships.

Nasri, 21, is going to play for a club outside Iran for the first time in his career.

He has joined the Polish volleyball club from Paykan.

“I am very happy I will be able to play in the Polish league, which is one of the best in the world. I really like Poland, and my dream since childhood was to play in PlusLiga,” Nasri said.

Nasri started his career in 2018 in Shahdab Yazd club. After three years, he joined the Iran U-19 national team, with whom he won the bronze medal at the World Championships in the same year. A year later, he won the Iranian championship and the bronze medal of the Asian Club Championships.
