Iran Defeats Chile in 2024 Handball President’s Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran women’s junior handball team beat Chile 27-25 in Group I of the President’s Cup on Tuesday.
The Persians had suffered three successive losses against the Netherlands 34-11, Romania 33-15 and Brazil 30-22 in Group A of the 2024 IHF Women’s Junior World Championship.
Iran also lost to Tunisia 26-23 in its first match in the President’s Cup Group I.
Iran will play Group III’s third-place team for the 25-28th place on Thursday.
The event is being held in North Macedonia from June 19 to 30.
