Iran, Saudi Arabia Keen to Bolster Ties

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia weighed plans for the enhancement of cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

In a telephone conversation on Sunday, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud congratulated his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqchi on taking office.

The two senior diplomats also discussed the latest developments pertaining to bilateral ties and the regional developments.

They emphasized that the bilateral relations are on the right track and called for efforts to enhance and expand mutual cooperation in various fields.

Referring to the continuation of the Zionist regime's crimes in Gaza and the escalating tensions in the region, they stressed the need to intensify efforts to stop the Zionist crimes and to send humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

Araqchi and bin Farhan also called for the continuation of consultations between the two countries, describing it as being in the interest of both nations and the wider region.
