2024 Paralympics: Iran’s Alipour, Olad Take Gold, Silver at Shot Put
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian shot putters Amir Hossein Alipour and Mahdi Olad seized a gold and a silver medal respectively in the 2024 Paralympic Games on Monday.
Alipour finished in first place with a throw of 14.78 meters in the Men's Shot Put - F11 and Olad came second with 13.89 meters.
Spanish athlete Alvaro del Amo Cano claimed the bronze with 13.38 meters.
Athletics at the 2024 Summer Paralympics take place at Stade de France in Paris.
Iran has sent 65 athletes in 10 sports to the Games.
