Havadar, Mehdi Rahmati Part Ways: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mehdi Rahmati resigned as Havadar coach following poor results in the 2024-25 Iran Professional League (IPL).
On Friday, Havadar lost to Nassaji 1-0 in Tehran and remained bottom of the table.
Rahmati was appointed as Havadar coach in July as Masoud Shojaei’s replacement.
Under his leadership, Havadar has lost seven out of 13 matches.
Rahmati played for Iran’s national football team from 2004 to 2014. He also played for Esteghlal in two stints.
