Roberto Piazza Named Iran Volleyball Coach
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Renowned Italian volleyball coach Roberto Piazza has been appointed as the new head coach of Iran’s national volleyball team.
The 56-year-old coach will start his work in May 2025 as he is currently the coach of the Italian club Power Volley Milano.
His countryman Tomaso Totolo has been named his assistant in Team Melli.
Piazza replaced Brazilian coach Mauricio Motta Paes.
Iran was absent in the 2024 Olympic Games and is determined to book its place in the 2028 Olympic Games under the leadership of the Italian coach.
