Iran U-20 Football Team Arrives in Laos
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s U-20 football team arrived in Vientiane, capital of Laos, on Saturday.
Hossein Abdi’s side will meet Laos in Group G on September 25. Iran will also meet India and Mongolia on September 27 and 29, respectively.
To run until September 29, the competition includes 10 groups -five of four teams each and five of five– that will play in a centralized league format.
All group winners, along with the five best-placed runners-up, will progress to the final tournament and be joined by 1985 champion China PR, who is hosting for a second time after its first in 2010.
