Persepolis Loses to Al Sadd in AFC Champions League Elite
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Qatar’s Al Sadd football team edged past Persepolis 1-0 in the AFC Champions League Elite 2024-25 on Monday.
Al Sadd boosted its hopes of reaching the next round with the win at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
Mateus Uribe’s first half stoppage time goal was enough to seal the three points for the Qatari outfit.
Persepolis moved down to 10th place in the 12-team group, while Al Sadd climbed to second with seven points.
Persepolis will look to revive its campaign when it meets Al Gharafa of Qatar on November 4, while Al Sadd takes on Saudi Arabia’s Al Wasl.
