Win over Esteghlal Send Tractor Top of IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Tractor football team defeated Esteghlal 2-0 and moved top of the table of the 2024-25 Iran Professional League (IPL) on Thursday.
In the match, held in Tehran’s Shohaday-e Qods Stadium, Aref Aghasi found the back of the net in the 56th minute and Sajjad Ashouri made it 2-0 with three minutes remaining.
It was Esteghlal’s fifth loss in nine matches. The Blues now sit 12th in IPL’s 16-team table.
Tractor moved top with 19 points.
