Greek FM to Meet Iranian Speaker
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Evangelos Venizelos, the Greek foreign minister, who is in Tehran for an official visit, plans to meet with Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani later today.
Venizelos who is visiting Iran at the invitation extended by his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif is also scheduled to hold talks with some other Iranian officials to discuss ways of expansion of bilateral ties between Athens and Tehran.
He also paid a visit to Iran's historical city of Isfhan.
The top Greek diplomat is heading a high-ranking politico-economic delegation.
Earlier reports said that he will hold talks with Chairman of Iran’s Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani as well as Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani on Sunday.
