Nigeria Eliminates Bosnia and Herzegovina from World Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Nigeria football team eliminated Bosnia-Herzegovina from World Cup contention with a 1-0 win over the tournament debutants in Group F.
Peter Odemwingie scored the only goal of the match in the 29th minute.
The African representative is scheduled to play Argentina on Wednesday and a draw or win assures them of advancing to the knockout round.
"I'm happy because the boys showed a little bit of character," Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi said in the post match news conference.
"I think we are getting better every game, it's not easy, we've been out for three months, we (are) just coming back, so the team will come," he added.
