Iranian Parliament Speaker Felicitates Counterparts on Christmas
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian parliament speaker on Wednesday congratulated the speakers of Christian countries on the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ and the beginning of new Christian year.
In a message, Larijani considered seeking for justice and peace, brotherhood, and faith as well as fight against tyranny, authoritarianism, and ignorance as what divine prophets have brought for the mankind.
Today the international community needs these aspirations and values, he said.
The Iranian speaker further noted that violence and extremism is a serious concern for all nations and followers of divine religions, and added that security and freedom is under serious threat posed by terrorism and occupation in many parts of the world, especially the occupied Palestine, Africa, and Western Asia.
Larijani went on to say that the promotion of cooperation among parliaments can enhance mutual understanding, create a better world, and contribute to development of all countries in all fields.
“I hope that we can undertake our common responsibility to eradicate injustice, racism, and tyranny in the world,” the Iranian lawmaker concluded his letter.
