Iran Wheelchair Basketball Team Books Place at Paralympic
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran defeated South Korea 83-67 in the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) Asia-Oceania Championship semi-final.
On Friday, the Iranian team also booked a place at the 2016 Paralympic Games since the tournament’s top three teams qualify for the prestigious event.
Iran will play Australia on Saturday in the final match.
Japan and South Korea has been scheduled to face in the third-placed match.
Iran has defeated Malaysia, the Philippines, Chinese Taipei, Saudi Arabia, China and South Korea so far and lost to Australia.
The Championship is underway at the Chiba Port Arena, Japan, from October 7 to 18.
