Jerry Bengtson Linked with Iran’s Naft Tehran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Honduran striker Jerry Bengtson has been linked with a move to Iranian football club Naft Tehran.
Former Persepolis striker could return to Iran, diez.hn reported.
Naft Tehran finished in fifth place last season in the Iranian Professional League (IPL).
The 29-year-old signed a one-year contract with Persepolis on August 1, 2015.
He made his debut in the final 20 minutes of Persepolis' match against Sepahan. He scored his first goal for Persepolis on 25 September 2015 against Tractor Sazi. He scored a goal in a 1–1 draw against important rival Esteghlal in the Tehran derby in stoppage time.
Former Iran and Persepolis coach Ali Daei will lead Naft Tehran in the new edition of the competition.
