Persepolis Goes Six Points Clear after Saba Win

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Persepolis has moved six points clear at the top of Iran Professional League by beating Saba 2-0 on Saturday.

Hanif Omranzadeh scored an own goal in the 73rd minute and Ramin Rezaeian doubled Persepolis's lead from penalty spot 10 minutes later.

Furthermore, Zob Ahan drew 0-0 with Gostaresh Foolad, Padideh lost to Saipa 1-0 in a home match, Sepahan and Sanat Naft played out a goalless draw, Naft Tehran finished 1-1 with holder Esteghlal Khuzestan in Tehran and Foolad was held to a goalless draw against Siahjamegan in Ahvaz.

Persepolis stays top of the table with 44 points, followed by Tractor Sazi (38) and Zob Ahan (33).
