Iraq to Play Uzbekistan in Friendly
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iraq national football team will meet Uzbekistan in a friendly match in Tashkent on March 29.
Iraq will travel to Tashkent on Monday with the match serving as preparation for the resumption of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023.
Iraq is top of Group C of the Asian qualifiers with 11 points from five matches, two ahead of Bahrain while Iran sits third.
Uzbekistan is also leading Group D with nine points but Saudi Arabia can seize top spot if it defeats Palestine on March 30.
