Iranians Win Three Medals in Asian Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Three Greco-Roman wrestlers of Iran won medals in the Asian Wrestling Championships in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on Tuesday.
Nasser Ghasem Alizadeh claimed a gold medal in the 87kg, beating Uzbekistan’s Jalgasbay Berdimuratov 3-1 in the final bout.
Iman Mohammadi and Aref Habibollahi also won two bronze medals in the competition.
Mohammadi seized a bronze in the 63kg after Syrian wrestler Ahmad Al Nakdali withdrew from the match.
Habibollahi also took a bronze medal in the 77kg after the withdrawal of Korean Kim Hyeonwoo.
The 2022 Asian Wrestling Championships started in Ulaanbaatar on April 19 and will finish on April 24.
