Iran Defeats Australia in 2022 VNL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Australia 3-1 (25-14, 25-22, 18-25, 25-15) in the 2022 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Pool 1 in Brasilia, Brazil on Sunday.
Iran’s Amin Esmaeilnezhad topscored the match with 23 points and Hamish Hazelden scored 17 points for Australia.
Team Melli will play Japan tonight.
The Volleyball Nations League was launched as a new competition in 2018 and ever since has been the annual meeting point for the top teams in the world.
The competition began with a Preliminary Round played over six competition weeks, with women and men taking their turns every other week in racing for the spots in the Finals.
